MARION – William Ezra Smith, Jr., age 96, of Marion, Ala., transitioned to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2021 in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Mallory Wheat officiating and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his first wife of 48 years, Virginia Hamm Smith; parents, Mary Paralee Evans Smith and William Ezra Smith, Sr.; son, Lawrence William Smith; step-sons, Rickey S. Smith and Dale E. Smith; and numerous much-loved brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Linda Lavender Smith; and daughters, Margaret Smith Hallman (Gewen) and Marie Smith Porch (Samuel).
