

Barbara had two sisters and one brother: Shirley Hamby of Kimberly; Gloria Hanes of Kimberly; and a baby brother who only lived for a few hours. Shirley and Gloria are both deceased.
Barbara graduated from Twin Falls High School at the age of sixteen. She lived in California for one year and then came back to Twin Falls where she worked for the telephone company and at Crowley’s lunch counter. She met Robert Lee Bailey and they married on July 16, 1945. This marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. Barbara and Bob were the parents of two children: Linda Rae (Gene) Rearick of Twin Falls and Robert Hal (Rosanne) Bailey of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Barbara loved camping at Stanley Lake with her family and also painted several pictures that are prized be her family. She loved music, especially Mario Lanza, and was always ready to help others when needed.
Barbara and Bob were very active members of the LDS Church. They were called to work in the Boise Temple and this was such a special experience for them that, after Bob’s death on March 7, 2000, Barbara worked in the Winter Quarters Temple in Nebraska.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, her parents, a foster daughter Peggy Crapo, her great granddaughter Zoey Clark, her two sisters Shirley and Gloria, and a baby brother.
Barbara is survived by her daughter and son, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Twin Falls West Stake Center, 667 Harrison Street in Twin Falls, with Bishop Zachary Gregerson conducting. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at White Mortuary “Chapel by the Park” from 6 to 8 pm, and 1-1:45 pm Saturday at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of White Mortuary “Chapel by the Park.”
