

Dorothy was born Nov. 13 1923, at Kimberly to Lewis and Marie Presnell and lived in the Rock Creek area south of Kimberly. The eldest of nine children, she attended Murtaugh, Pleasant Valley and graduated from Kimberly.
She moved to Ogden, Utah, after the start of World War II to work in a munitions factory and while there met and married her first husband, Raymond Shelton. That marriage ended in divorce. After returning to the magic valley, she met and married Earl H. Weeks, Jan. 4, 1946, at Twin Falls. Their marriage was later sealed at the Idaho Falls Temple of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
They farmed in Jerome, Twin Falls and Kimberly before moving to their new home in Kimberly in 1960. Dorothy worked in a variety of jobs outside the home while raising eight children. She later trained as a dietary aide and worked in food service at several nursing homes and at Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital She attended the Kimberly Ward of the LDS Church.
In retirement she and Earl enjoyed taking their trailer to various camping and fishing spots. After Earl died in 1992, she moved to Twin Falls and lived there until moving into a care center.
Dorothy is survived by six sons, Roger and Joe (Linda), of Kuna; Rod, Larry, Dave (Paula) and Doug (Laura) of Kimberly and a daughter Lois Emerson (Paul) of Clarkston, Wash. She is also survived by three sisters, Mary Johnson-Miller and Hallie Dickard, of Twin Falls, and Betty Hranac of Boise and two brothers, Raymond Presnell of Kimberly and Joe Presnell of Othello Wash.
She also is survived by 14 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Dan Shelton; her parents and three brothers, Max, Jack and Bobby Presnell.
A viewing is scheduled Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at White Mortuary in Twin Falls and a graveside service Friday at 2 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls.
