Rebecca Nebeker Morrill, 90, of Kimberly passed away on April 1, 2012 at Alpine Care Center in Twin Falls, Idaho. Rebecca “Becky” was born on October 3, 1921 in Kimberly, Idaho to Wilford Franklin and Cynthia Benson Nebeker. She attended school in Shoshone, then moved to Kimberly to live with her sister to complete her high school education. She graduated in 1939 as Salutatorian of her class. She married Garth Morrill on October 3, 1940 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple and they spent 68 wonderful years together. Becky worked side by side with Garth on the farm and created a loving home for their seven children. Her gardens were always plentiful and she spent endless hours canning and providing food for her family and others.
She was an active member of the LDS Church having served in many positions including working in the Boise, Idaho Temple for 14 years. She excelled as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – always putting her family first. She lived a very full life devoting much of her time taking care of others. She lovingly cared for her parents and Garth’s parents in their aging years. She left a legacy of integrity, love, and compassion. She taught her children and grandchildren the value of hard work. All who knew Becky enjoyed her quick sense of humor and how she could brighten anyone’s day. As stated by a dear friend, “The world would be perfect if there were more like Becky.”
Rebecca is survived by her children: Doyle (Barbara) Morrill, Brent (Linda) Morrill, Donna Morrill, Becky Weeks, Cynthia (Dee) Jensen, Terry (Sherry) Morrill, Lonna (Ken) Marler, and Robyn (Layne) Flint. She was blessed with 34 grandchildren and 100 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, three sisters, six brothers, one daughter in-law, one son in-law and a granddaughter.
