Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson was born on September 17, 1930, in McGregor to Marshall and Collie Mae Riley Anderson and passed away on November 29, 2014 in Tyler.
He served in the U S Army 24 years during Korea and Vietnam, also serving in Japan, Germany and Thailand attaining the rank of command sergeant major. He was a farmer and a rancher in this area for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Ok Anderson of Tyler; sons, Stephen Anderson and wife Cindy, of Brownsboro, Johnny Anderson of Tyler; daughters, Cynthia Diane Cloud and husband David, of Chandler, Candy Lutton and husband Jim, of Tyler, Laura George and husband Kenneth, of Tyler; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 1 brother and 3 sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Marshall Anderson.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
