In his spare time, Alfonso, enjoyed fishing, reading the Bible and being a church usher. His family and friends will always remember him as a funny, hard working, social and very generous.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Sebastian Marquez.
Survived by his wife, Maria Rosa Torres de Malacara; daughter, Susana Malacara and husband Fredy Solarte; sons, Moyses Malacara and wife Matilde Chavez Mendoza and Alfonso Malacara, Jr. and wife Arcadia Zavala; grandchildren, Enrique Ivan Malacara, Diego Alfonso Malacara, Yasmin Malacara, Abraham Malacara Chavez, Jayden F. Solarte, Lianna I. Solarte, and Eileen S. Solarte; sister, Hortencia Torres.
Visitation will be held at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler, TX 75704, on March 11, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with the Rosary at 6:30 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 922 Old Omen Rd, Tyler, TX 75701, US, on March 12, 2026, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
