

Alice Mae Dexter, 80, of Quitman, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012 in Tyler. Mrs. Dexter, a homemaker, was born on January 22, 1932 in Salisbury Mill, NY to Carroll and Clara Odell. She was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the National Cutting Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Dexter in 2002 and is survived by her sons, John (and his wife, Mary) of Quitman; Michael (and his wife, Erlene) of Bandera; Robert (and his wife, Iris) of Abilene; daughters, Wanda (and her husband, James) Gillit of Gladewater; Kathleen (and her husband, Robert) Scott of Mineola; brothers, Ernest Odell; Ronnie Odell, Carl (and his wife, Butch) Odell, Calvin Odell, Roger (and his wife, Connie) Odell, James Odell, Joseph (and his wife, Elizabeth) Odell as well as, grandchildren, Michelle (and her husband, Tom) Elliot, Kacee (and her husband, Chris) Funk, Jenna Gillit, Kelly Gillit, Robbie Scott and Bryan Scott and 3 great grandchildren, Taylor Elliot, Conner Elliot and Dylan Funk.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler; with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
