Angela Taleno

Angela's heart was always for missions. She was a pastor, mentor, teacher, evangelist, woman of prayer, missionary, choir director, drama director, administrator, and spiritual mother. Angela attended Primera Iglesia Bautista in Tyler, Texas and always served in any way she could. She loved to sew and used this hobby to bless others by teaching others how to sew through a sewing academy in Nicaragua. In mission trips to Mexico, Angela used her hobby to teach women to sew and make clothing for the children in the village. She loved to serve and every chance she received to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, she would do it with a willing heart. Her heart was always showing the love of Christ and didn’t expect anything in return. Angela sacrificed everything for others and loved unconditionally. She had a great sense of humor and it was always so contagious, even if she didn’t say a word. Her legacy will continue through her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, to serve the Lord until our last breath. She was an angel and blessed everyone with her presence. Angela is extremely loved and will be greatly missed.

Angela is survived by children, Carlina Gamez and husband, Jose Lino, Esterlina Suasnavar and husband, Juan Carlos, and Isreal Taleno and wife, Flor; 42 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Angela is preceded in death by Isaac Taleno, Angelita Taleno, Alan Taleno, Adolfo Taleno and Elmo Taleno.

Serving as pallbearers are Luis Bolanos, Bryon Bolanos, Argelio Bolanos, Manrique Molina, Gabriel Molina and Danny Taleno.

A time of visitation for Angela will be held Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Primera Asamblea De Dios. A celebration of life will occur Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Primera Asamblea De Dios. A graveside service will occur immediately after the church service at Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery and Mausoleum.
