Jacqueline Stark

Jacqueline Stark age 75 passed away at Hospice Home Place, Tyler Tuesday, August 02, 2011. She was born February 22, 1936 to Ovis and Jimmie McLeod in New Summerfield, TX. It was there Jacqueline attended local schools growing up and graduated from New Summerfield High School. Later she moved to Tyler and attended the Women’s Business School. Jacqueline was co-owners of Stark’s Family Restaurants in Louisiana and several Dairy Queen Restaurants in Arlington. In 1963 she married the love of her life Lynn Stark and together with love and devotion turned two families into one. Jacqueline was a member of the LA Restaurants Association and the Patton Lane Church of Christ, Tyler. She loved her animals and raised miniature horses. She was an avid oil painter and loved to work in her garden. Jacqueline devoted many hours working with special needs children. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends however they knew she missed and wanted to be with her husband Lynn who passed away in 2006.

Jacqueline is survived by her mother, Jimmie C. Prothro, daughters Terry Bateman and her husband Bobby and Carolyn Henerix, sons Bobby stark, Billy Stark, Paul Stark and his wife Kathy, Jerry Stark and his wife Barbara and Lynn Stark and his wife Lisa, 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, brothers, Frank McLeod and his wife Betsy, Mike McLeod and his wife Carol and Randy McLeod.

She is preceded in passing by her loving husband Lynn Stark of 43 years and her father Ovis Tipton McLeod.

There will be a time of visitation at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 4pm-8pm then Chapel services will be Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home at 10am with Pastor Dudley Brookshire officiating. In lue of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas, Tyler in memory of Jacqueline Stark.
