

Jamie Gayle Chapman (Hood), born on July 9, 1962 in Tyler, Texas. She passed away at the age of 62 in Cleburne, Texas on August 29, 2024. Jamie was a devoted homemaker and caregiver, known for her kind, loving nature and her deep Christian faith. She dedicated her life to her family and friends, always providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
She was a cherished member of Park Springs Bible Church, where she actively participated in various church activities, reflecting her commitment to her faith and community. Jamie's hobbies included reading and spending quality time with her loved ones, always ensuring they felt valued and loved.
Jamie is survived by her husband, Reed Chapman; daughter, Morgan Rivera and husband Cesar; sisters, Amy Jones and husband Duane, Kathy Whitehead and husband S.L., and Virginia Begando; and brother, James Craft. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. Jamie was preceded in death by her former husbands, Harold Alan Jameyfield and Gerald Ray; her parents, Raymond O. Hood and Virginia Jenell Gentry Hood; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 3-5 pm. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Charles Kuthe on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 11am. Both services will take place at Tyler Memorial located at 12053 SH-64, Tyler, TX 75704. Pallbearers will be Cesar Rivera, Duane Jones, Dillon Lanphier, S.L. Whitehead, Brad Jones, and Josh Ball. Jamie's life and legacy will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew her.
