Janie Laura Malone

Janie was raised in Athens but moved to San Diego, California at age 13 and graduated from Oceanside High School in 1950. She married Ray Blevins, Sr. in 1950 and Mack Malone in 1957.

She was a bookkeeper at a CPA office for more than 44 years. In her spare time Janie enjoyed visiting family and friends, gardening, canning, working puzzles and cooking. She will be remembered as a loving, kind, gentle person who always put the Lord and her family first. She attended Christ Episcopal Church in Tyler for over 35 years.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Nancy Albright; brother, Billy Albright; sisters, Belle Reynolds and Sue Perry; and son, Ray Blevins, Jr.

She is survived by son, Mark Malone and wife Rebecca; daughter, Sherry Pratt; daughter-in-law, Linda Blevins; grandchildren, Shannon McKay, Angele Malone, Alex Malone, Maurina Malone, Andrew Peacock, Dane Peacock, Michael Vickery and Ashley Geisleman; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Willow, Cooper, Aleigha, Marinette, Willie, Branson, Frankie Ray, Colston and Ollie.
