Jose Antonio (Tony) Gomez, 55 of Longview, Texas passed away July 9, 2020. He was born May 9, 1965 in Cardenas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Gabino Gomez Chavez and Nazaria Mendoza Motes. He is preceded in death by his father. Tony is survived by; his son Antonio D’ Jesus Gomez, daughter Magnolia Gizzel Gomez- Custer, sisters Maria Cristina Gomez, Victoria Gomez Mendoza, brothers Arnulfo Gomez Mendoza, Roberto Gomez Mendoza, and Juan Jose Gomez Mendoza. He is also survived by many aunt’s, uncle’s, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Tony was well known by many. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed having fun. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. He had a passion for music and biking. Tony also enjoyed watching soccer - his favorite soccer team was the Pumas. He worked hard and always helped others before himself without hesitation. His greatest creation was his children and they will lead his legacy. He was a loving uncle, cousin, brother, nephew, and most of all father.
Rosary and viewing will be held at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church Flint, Texas July 17th at 07:30 P.M. Mass will also be held at Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic Church July 18th at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.
