
Margaret Rhinehart Perry, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother was welcomed into her heavenly home on December 13, 2016. She was 81 years old. Born in Kilgore, TX to Norma and William Rhinehart, she grew up with 4 brothers Clyde Lindsey, Bob Lindsey, Max Rhinehart and Roy Rhinehart. She was very active in First Baptist Church of Kilgore, often playing the piano for various groups, and graduated from Kilgore High School in 1953, East Texas Baptist University with a degree in Education and North Texas State University with a Masters in Library Science. During her career she served as a Librarian with the Tyler Independent School District and Chapel Hill School District among others.
She was married to Roger L Perry for 41 years until his death in 1998 and was a loving mother to their 3 children A. Roganne Perry, Brad Perry and David Perry. Margaret and Roger worshipped at First Baptist Church of Whitehouse and loved living on Lake Tyler where she enjoyed fishing, gardening and church activities. She participated in many Southern Baptist Youth and GA camps as a Counselor, PE director and Pianist. After Roger's death, she served as a Missionary for a year as Librarian at the Morrison Christian Academy in Taiwan. Afterwards, Margaret moved to Keller, Texas and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. There she worshipped at Shady Grove Baptist Church and at Saginaw Community Church where she played the piano for their services.
Services were held at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, December 17. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ministry, charity or research organization of your choice.
Margaret is survived by her children Dr. April Roganne Perry, Brad Perry and his wife, Millie Perry and their children, Arianna and Shannon, David Perry and his children Blake and Summer and her brothers Dr. Clyde Lindsey and Dr. Max Rhinehart. She is preceded in death by her parents, Norma and William Rhinehart, her husband, Roger L. Perry and her brothers Bob Lindsey and Roy Rhinehart.
"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you, and you shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever". Margaret's kindness, humor and generosity will be sorely missed, but will live on in our hearts.
