

Mrs. Lavender went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from her home with her family. She was born in Jacksonville, Tx on January 11, 1939 to the late Jesse Mills Cheatham and Loretta Burgins Cheatham. Mrs. Lavender was a lifelong resident of East Texas. She owned and operated Golden Opportunity Employment Agency, until retirement over 25 years ago.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of God, as a devoted Christian and prayer warrior for so many.
Mrs. Lavender was preceded in death by her husband, Don Lavender, father, Jesse Mills Cheatham, mother, Loretta Cheatham, son, Rick Morgan, granddaughter, Becky Morgan and grandson Derek Simoneaux.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Hamilton Brumley and her husband, Jim Brumley, Susan Hamilton Lingberg and her husband John Lingberg, her Daughter-in-love, Debbie Morgan, and Carolyn Hamilton Simoneaux, along with her son Michael Morgan and his wife Jana Morgan. As well as, her sister, Ludy Cheatham Toothman, her five grandchildren, Kim Love, Julie Walls, and husband Paul Walls, David Lingberg, Brandon Simoneaux, and his wife Maria Simoneaux, Rachel Brumley, and Sarah Lingberg. She was also loved by eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many beloved friends.
Due to COVID, a private Graveside Service will be held at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home beginning at 10:00am, Wednesday, September 8, 2021 for immediate family only.
