Remi Raine Faith Kates

Remi was the treasured daughter of Kaila Denise King and Elijah Braden Kates, and the precious twin sister of Julian Jamile Kates.

Even before she was born, Remi’s sweet and shy spirit shone through—she often hid her face during sonograms, saving her beauty for Heaven’s eyes. She looked just like her momma, and her life was marked by quiet strength and deep love.

Remi is survived by her parents Elijah Kates and Kaila King, her loving grandparents Amanda Nell Caton, Jenifer Kay Revis & Billy Dewayne Revis, Mary Caton-Pickett, Susan Kelly Edwards and Harry Wesley Kates along with her Great-grandparents “Pawpa” Michael Lee Caton, Mary Ann King and Vivian Jordan and her great godfather Claudraus “Boo” Dickens. She is also adored by many special aunts, uncles, and a countless number of cousins who will cherish her memory forever.

She was preceded in death and joyfully welcomed into Heaven by her Grandmother Rebecca Danelle Kates, her Grandfather Jonathan King Sr., Great-grandmother Vickey Bell-Caton, Great-Grandfather Willie King, her Great-Aunt “Meme” Jennifer Caton-Medina, and her Uncle Jonathan King Jr., who now hold her close until we meet again.

Though her time here was brief, the impact of her life will last forever in the hearts of her family in Gladewater, Texas, and all who love her.
