Robert J. Harding

Bob Harding passed away May 13, 2018 surrounded by his family at the age of 87. His Family is rejoicing over his reunion with his daughter Sharon and many other loved ones waiting for him in heaven. To many he was known as Bobby Joe or Big Bob. He always had a good story or joke to tell and loved making others laugh.

A native of McGregor, Texas Bob broke many state track records in high school which earned him a full scholarship to play football and run track at Texas Christian University. While attending TCU he met and married the love of his life Darlene.

For 35 years he worked for Kraft foods. Among many honors he won national district of the year as district sales manager.

Bob and Darlene moved to Hideaway in 1993. Bob was active in multiple community organizations and groups such as Kiwanis and Hideaway Lake Community Church.

He is survived by his wife Darlene of 66 years; as well as brother Jan Krause and wife Sally Jane of McKinney, Texas; brother Jon Krause and wife Bonnie of McGregor, Texas; son Patrick and wife Teresa of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandson Brian and wife Rene of Plano, Texas; grand-daughter Tara and husband Richard of Wilmington, North Carolina; grandson Steven of Manhattan, New York; grand-daughter Laura and husband Jeffrey Strickland of Irving, Texas ;and four great grandchildren Kyle, Caleb, Gil, and Carolina.

He is preceded in death by his mother Annie Krause; brother L.A Krause; and daughter Sharon Hopper.
