Roberts love for the Lord was an essential part of his life. He and his wife, Doris, were actively involved in children’s ministry as “Pappy and Prissy” Christian clowns. They would minister to hundreds of children each year at the East Texas fair presenting the gospel of Christ in a way where children could easily understand it. They loved to participate in local parades and always brought joy to kids of all ages. Robert loved to cook, and his specialty was Louisiana Cajun food. He would invite friends over to eat and always left the kitchen in a mess for someone else to clean up. Remembered for his legendary smile, bright spirit, and inviting personality, Robert touched the lives of everyone he met and will be missed beyond words, leaving many cherished memories. His kind heart was shown through the praise he loved to give to his family, especially his daughter and granddaughters, always reminding them of how proud and beautiful they are inside and out. Robert will be greatly missed by all who loved him, especially his little dog Trixie.
Robert is survived by his wife, Doris Lee of Henderson, Texas; son, David (Connie) Lee of Genoa, Arkansas; daughter, Robbie (Leon) Batchelor of Tyler, Texas; son, Andy Pearce Sr. of Chandler, Texas; stepsons, Michael (Famtima) Ramsey and family of Henderson, Texas, and Tom (Katie) Hancock and family of Fincastle, Texas; 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of additional family and friends.
