Shirley was born in Randlett, Oklahoma on August 3, 1935. She was the only children to the late Raymond and Katheryn Hale. Shirley graduated From Randlett High School at the top of her class. Shirley continued on with her higher education at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls,Texas where she played college basketball.
Shirley was a beloved member of Green Acres Church in Tyler, Texas where was very involved and immensely showed her love for our Lord. Shirley started the intercessory prayer chapel there at Green Acres.
Shirley is survived by her twin boys, Christopher C.(Tammy V.) Sonnamaker of Tyler, and Steven R. (Tamara G.) Sonnamaker of Plano. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Steven, Colton, Alicia and Brianna as well as four step children and a step great-grandchild (Laura, Amanda, Kindra, Joshua and Parker).
A viewing will be held at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home located at 12053 Hwy. 64 West on April 25, 2014 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
