Stacey was raised in Tyler, attended John Tyler High School, and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Liberty University. In 2011, she married Marshall Dodson, and together they blended their families to include eight children.
Stacey spent much of her career working as a family law paralegal, but her true passion was teaching. She taught 8th grade English at Cumberland Academy Middle School, where she was dedicated to her students and the impact she made in their lives.
In her spare time, Stacey enjoyed riding motorcycles with her husband and friends, crafting jewelry, and going to the beach—her heaven on earth. She also loved sitting on the porch, drinking tea while watching the hummingbirds visit. Stacey had a heart for ministering to others and treasured every moment spent with her children.
Her family will always remember her as a loving wife, devoted daughter, and a mother who would do anything for those she loved, no matter the cost. She was a shield maiden of the heavens and a daughter of the King.
Stacey is survived by her husband, Marshall Lee Dodson; her children, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Caleb, Trinity, Kirsty, Alyssa, Abigal, and Jonathan; her father and stepmother, Ron and Betty; her sister, Cheryl; and her sister-in-law, Michell. She will be deeply loved and dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
