Susie Spier Maxfield, 63, of Whitehouse, passed away on January 25, 2014 in Tyler. Susie, a retired Bus Monitor for the Whitehouse School District, was born on October 18, 1950 in Tyler. She grew up and attended school in Whitehouse. Following school she was a homemaker. She also designed and published crochete patterns. In 2000, she began working as a bus monitor for the Whitehouse School District. She retired in 2009. She was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Maxfield in 1998, her parents, Snooks and Doris Spier and is survived by her son, Robby Dee Maxfield, and his wife, Bonnie of Tyler; her companion, Roger Maxfield of Tyler; sister, Katherine Collier of Whitehouse; daughter-in law, Tonia Ray of Whitehouse; 5 grandchildren and two nieces. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home, 12053 State Highway 64 West, Tyler. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Tyler Memorial Cemetery.
