

Tyna Anne Kirkland, 54, of Tyler, Texas, was born on June 30, 1971, in Kountze, Texas, to proud parents James and Cynthia Freeman. She passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will be cherished forever.
Tyna was the beloved wife of Kelly Kirkland, the love of her life, with whom she shared 34 wonderful years of marriage. Together they built a life rooted in partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother known affectionately as “Tati.”
A talented piercer and co-owner of Kelly’s Tattoos, Tyna was respected for her skill, creativity, and the genuine care she showed everyone who walked through the door. Her heart for service extended beyond her work, as she generously volunteered at the veterans hospital, giving her time and compassion to those who had served our country.
Tyna was also known for her incredible cooking, often bringing family together around the table with meals made from love. Her warmth, kindness, and steady presence made everyone feel welcome and cared for.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kelly Kirkland; her parents, James and Cynthia Freeman; her children, Stephanie Jolly and husband Joseph Jolly, Amber Kirkland, Kody Kirkland, and Konne Kirkland; her sister, Jammie Gill, and brother-in-law Burton Gill; her seven cherished grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Tyna Anne Kirkland will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
