

Armand J. Gionet, 71, of Uncasville passed away peacefully November 28, 2014. Born on April 6, 1943 to the late Armand and Agnes (Brogno) Gionet in Norwich, CT. Armand's greatest gift was that of a loving father and adoring grandfather. With the warmest smile and kindest demeanor, Armand was a beacon of light in the Gionet family. He attended St Bernards High School and served as Staff Sargent in the Air Force and National Guard. With a successful career as a mechanic beginning in the Air Force and continuing at Electric Boat and Millstone, he was also an accomplished Marksman, passionate antique toy collector and classic car enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife Martha of 51 years, Sons; Frank and wife Lisa, Daniel and wife Michele and daughter Michelle Landry. He leaves behind grandchildren, Heather (Gionet) Frost and husband Adam, Aaron Gionet, Jessica Hemme and husband Christopher, Nicholas Cardelle, Joelle Landry, Phillip Landry, Dominique Gionet, three great grandchildren and sisters Marie (Gionet) Walker, Denise (Gionet) Autaubo and Patricia Gionet.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at St. Johns Church (22 Maple Ave, Uncasville, CT). Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Montville Funeral Home (53 Norwich New London Tpke, Uncasville, CT).
