On July 17, 1920 he was born in Lisbon, CT to the late Gilbert H. and Elizabeth (Cregan) Miner Sr. After graduating high school, Bernard served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. until enlisting in the US Army serving from 1939 – 1945. He was a member of the Pearl Harbor Survivors.
In 1945, he married his beloved wife Marcelle (Felix) in France while stationed there. She survives him. After military life, Bernard worked as a photo engraver at the former Chambers and Stork Company with his wife in Norwich for approximately 35 years until his retirement. He was a devoted family man.
Besides his wife, Bernard is also survived by his daughter; Bernice Lord of Florida, grandchildren; Sharon Teel and her husband Hugh, and Mark Lord and his wife Wendy, and several great-grandchildren.
