

Jim graduated from Bassick High School in 1958. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force. During that time, he met his wife, partner, and best friend Patricia Coleman Rondeau. They shared almost 65 years together and raised their three children. After his service in the Air Force, Jim began his long and enjoyable insurance career with American Mutual, Frank B. Hall, and National Employers Co. as a Claims Adjuster.
Jim is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Lynn and her husband Gerald Blanchard, son James Rondeau II and his daughter Renee Witkovic. He was the proud grandfather of nine grandchildren and one great grandson. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Bruno and her husband Rick. Jim was predeceased by his parents, his brother Adelard “Del” Rondeau Jr., and his sister Colina Jones.
Jim was always a people person. He was involved in Montville Planning and Zoning, golfed as often as possible, bowled two nights a week, loved driving his ‘66 Red Mustang Convertible and was in numerous parades.
Jim had a great sense of humor. He loved telling jokes, being with people, and hosting poker nights with his poker buddies for many years.
He will forever be remembered, loved, and missed.
Calling hours will be Friday March 6, 2026 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen Funeral Home 53 Norwich New London Tpke. Uncasville. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday March 7, 2026 11:00 am at St. John Church 22 Maple Avenue Uncasville.
