Jennifer was born March 17, 1970, in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late Charles Richard Morrissey Sr. and Janice Mary Hall.
She was a kind soul, beloved by her family, and all those lucky enough to know her. Jennifer followed her calling, working with little children, and was a preschool teacher for many years. She began her career at a school of Montessori in Hamden Connecticut, and worked in early childhood education throughout the New Haven area.
Jennifer was predeceased by her father Charles Morrissey Sr. She is survived by her beloved husband Jeffrey Jones, her mother Janice Morrissey, her brother Rick Morrissey, sisters Amy Morrissey, Melissa Morrissey and Heather Wetmore. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Kyle Purvis, Brett Jaffer, Frankie, and Keira Beisler, Shannon Morrissey, Natasha and Coleen Wetmore, as well as Abigail and Samantha Morrissey.
She was a member of the Christian Life Assembly in Willimantic CT. She loved listening to and singing Gospel and Christian music. Jennifer loved cooking, entertaining and being surrounded by family and friends. Born on Saint Patrick's day she was immersed in her Irish heritage, taking immense pride in it.
Jennifer was educated in North Haven Public Schools and was a 1989 graduate of North Haven High School. She earned a degree in Early Childhood Education at South Central Community College in New Haven CT. Jennifer brought kindness, love, and light to the world and was a wonderful soul.
Visitation will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 6 pm to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 22 Maple Ave., Montville at 10 am. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven.
