Lenny was born on August 6, 1948 in East Lyme. The son of Rose and Clarence McNeil.
Lenny grew up in Montville, graduated from Montville High School in 1965 and then served in the United States Navy for four years. Lenny loved the ocean he spent most of his summer days laying on the beach with the cool gentle breeze on his face. He love dogs, and horses and cats and birds and dogs just loved him. After several jobs in real estate and the moving industry, Lenny was employed by the U.S. military in their personnel transport division where he received numerous citations for his performance. He retired from the federal employment . Lenny wore many hats he loved life and everything that came with it, even the struggles he was strong, trustworthy, compassionate, gentle and he was such a good listener, Lenny was a hard worker all his life, but would still make time for friends and family. Birthdays, holidays, christenings, weddings he shared it all with them. He frequently supported charitable efforts at the Montville Senior Center.He was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Clarence McNeil, and is survived by a host of cousins and two Godchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lenny’s memory can be made to the Montville Senior Center at 12 Maple Ave, Uncasville, CT 06382, (860) 848-0422. A memorial service will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen on Saturday, March 24th with visitation from 12-1p.m. with a funeral service at 1 p.m..
