Louis M Ruggiero

Uncasville-Louis M. Ruggiero, age 76, of Uncasville, passed away on March 23, 2024 at Middlesex Shoreline Medical Center in Westbrook. He was born on April 22, 1947 in New Rochelle, NY to the late Louis and Maureen (Reed) Ruggiero. He was married to Jennie (Marrette) Ruggiero. She survives him.

He was a meat cutter for over 20 years then moved into the Mohegan Sun Casino as a floor supervisor. He died doing what he loved, fishing.

Besides his loving wife Jennie, he is survived by his children Louis Ruggiero, Michael Ruggiero (Denise), and Lisa Ruggiero. He is also survived by his five grandchildren Stephanie, Julie, Hollie, Cody and Ryan. He also leaves behind his siblings Margaret Salvati, Marie Canny (Bob), Patty Bailey (Joe Sylvain), and John Ruggiero as well as 10 nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Ruggiero.

Family will receive visitors from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday March 28, 2024 at the Montville Funeral home of Church and Allen, 53 Norwich New London Turnpike , Montville CT 06382. Funeral home service will follow. Burial will be at Fort Shanktok, 340 Massapeag Side Rd., Uncasville, CT 06382.
