

Quaker Hill- Ludger G. Lubkowski, 82, passed away due to complications from a stroke on June 25, 2024.Born on February 9,1942 in Zablacce, Wolyn , Poland, Ludger was the son of the late Josef Lubkowski and Aniela (Chmielowska) Lubkowski, and his stepfather Felix Makowski. He was also predeceased by his sister Ursula, infant sister Maria, and his infant son Gregory Ludger Lubkowski. Ludger is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jacquelyn Lubkowski, his daughters Stefanie and Carol Lubkowski, and his son Michael Lubkowski.
Ludger spent his childhood as a prisoner of war under the Nazis, and then as a displaced person, his family finally immigrating to the USA in 1951, settling in Wallington, New Jersey. Lou joined the U.S Army from 1962-1965 as a medic in the 2nd armored division (hell on wheels). After his service he spent a 40 year career at Pfizer retiring in 2007.
Lou enjoyed his family, weight lifting, gardening, and road trips. He had an unparalleled work ethic, was opinionated, honest, loyal, willing to help anyone, a true friend, who had stories to tell. Lou will be remembered as a wonderful father and a loving, devoted husband. Our love is our bond forever.
A celebration of life will be held at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 53 Rte 32, Montville, on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 10:30 am.
