

Marlan was born October 13, 1936 in Williamsport, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Edna (Sterchi) Fisher.
He was formerly married to MaryLou Nickles also of Williamsport who predeceased him.
He had served in the United States Navy and then retired in 1996 from the US Navy Underwater Sound Laboratory after a long career.
He is survived by his son David Fisher and wife Pam of Griswold, daughters Linda Morgan and husband William of Voluntown, Christine LaFemina and husband Gary of Lisbon, brother Vernon Fisher and wife Sue of Staunton, VA, grandchildren Heather (Fisher) Gerrish, Amanda Fisher and Sean Fisher, Nicholas Pedro, Dawn (Pedro) Burns and DaJaeh Morgan, Miles, Michael, and Lindsey LaFemina, Chelsie and Tyler Swinyer and by 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to his neighbors and to Brett Kelly.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Howard (Buzz) Fisher, sisters Gertrude Fisher and Beverly (Fisher) Wolfe and her husband Gerald Wolfe Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen from 4 to 6 pm .
