Linda, David and Christine - I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time. Dear Linda,Dave,and Christine,
What a wonderful friend and neighbor your Dad was to us for those 37 years we lived on Williams Road!  Smart and  talented in so many ways, he always brought good will and cheer when he crossed our threshold to give a helping hand, watch a game, share a meal,or play a hand of cards.  
We met Marlan and Mary Lou as young  couples in a state and town we knew nothing about. The shared yards and friendship were always blessed by Marlan's wonderful laugh. That's what we will remember the most about this wonderful man who was admired and respected by all who knew him. We extend heartfelt condolences to those  who knew him best and loved him the most.

Linda, Christine and David - I am sorry to hear about your father's death.  He was always welcoming and pleasant to us. I know that you and your families will miss him greatly.

He was a constant and happy presence in our home, helping with projects, helping us with our math homework, watching college basketball games, or just laughing by the pool. To Marlan children and grandchildren your dad was one most highly respected, people at NUSC! 
   All the acoustic programs needed your dad's services. Your dad was always there to assist; one time he flew to Autec to bring me a new transducer and help me install it at sea. The weather turn bad and we had to dive the sub, your dad was on sub for 5 days without any change of clothes, thru it all he just smiled, bought shirts etc, from is NUSC buddies.
