Peter Edward Gula

Montville-Peter Edward Gula, 96, of Uncasville CT, passed away on March 11, 2016 at the Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island. He was born on June 13, 1919 in Bondsville, MA. to the late Albert and Catherine Gula. He married his loving wife Anna (Pachiodo) Gula on November 12, 1945 in Montville. She predeceased him in 2007.

Peter was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in WWII.

He is survived by a son Lawrence and his wife Mary Lou of Westerly, RI, grandchildren Megan Todt and her husband Tony of Colchester, Kathleen Mitchell and her husband Jon of Warwick, RI, and Melissa Gula of Denver, CO. He also leaves behind greatgrandchildren Alek, Tyler and Zoe Todt and Avery, Molly and Carly Mitchell. He is predeceased by a son Albert Gula, brothers Edward, Joseph, John, Stanley, Andrew, Michael Gula and sisters Anna Toper and Mary Young.

Family and friends may visit the Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen, 63 Norwich New London Tpke., Uncasville on Thursday March 17th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 18th at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Maple Ave, Uncasville. Burial will immediately follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Uncasville.
