Archer- Richard Archer Sr. 88 of Oakdale died 2/17/2023 in Uncasville. He was born in Fall River Ma., son of the late Ernest Archer and Helen (Wilson) Archer. He attended Case High School in Swansea Ma.
Mr. Archer served in the U.S. Navy where he was stationed in Newport RI.
He was employed at Electric Boat in Groton, then later was a barber, owning his own barbershop in Montville, and was employed by the State of Connecticut as a barber and briefly served on the Planning Board in Montville.
He was a member of the Free Masons, the VFW and the Elks. He was an avid car restorer and dealer in antique autos, traveling to auto shows throughout the East coast.
He is survived by his son Richard Archer Jr. and a daughter Cindy Finnberg, and his sister Gail Crowley.
He was predeceased by two wives, Pauline Archer, and Linda Archer, and his brother David Archer.
Mr. Archer also lived in Chester Vermont for 18 years with his second wife Linda Archer.
