Robert L. Leconte

He was born in Westbrook Maine on Jan. 24, 1926 to the late Eugene and Hazel (Landry) Leconte. After completing school he joined the US Army serving during WWII in Italy until his Honorable Discharge at the rank of sergeant. In 1950 he married his beloved wife, Glenna (Verrill) in Portland, Maine. She survives him.

Robert worked for Electric Boat for over 30 years as a Rigger until he retired. He enjoyed his home and spending time with his wife traveling including going to Italy, and enjoyed telling people he had a set of triplets in his family, Norman, Norris and Norwood.

Robert is also survived by his brothers Eugene Jr., Conrad, Russell and Norwood, sister; Carleen and many friends. He was predeceased by brothers; Norman and Norris, and one sister; Esther.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 25th from 5 to 7pm at the Montville Funeral Home of Church & Allen, 53 Norwich-New London Tnpk., Uncasville, CT. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the family cemetery in Center Minot, Maine.
