

Carmen was born in Habana, Cuba and received her PhD from la Universidad de la Habana. She was a teacher in Cuba, and later immigrated to the United States where she was employed by the Roselle Board of Education, and as a professor at Rutgers University. She was also a member of Junta Patriotica Cubana, Elizabeth.
Beloved wife of the late Juan Hubert, JD/PhD. Loving mother of Maria Eugenia Friscia and her husband Larry, Dr. Julio A. Hubert, and Fernando Hubert and his wife Rosy, and dear friend Anthony Stewart. Adoring grandmother of Lawrence Friscia III, Kristen Rose Friscia Benitez and her husband Pepe, Alisa Ann Friscia, Benjamin Hubert, and Rebecca Hubert; and great-grandmother of Ana Cristina, Lily Carmen, Jose Lawrence, and Bella Rose. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 9th from 4-9 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave.,Union. A funeral mass will be offered on Saturday, January 10th at 9:30 AM at Holy Spirit Church, Union with entombment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
