Charlotte Fraser (Warren) left this earthly plain at the age of 80 years on May 8, 2022 from Roselle, NJ, where she had made her home for the last 4 years in a suite created just for her by her son-in-law.
Born and raised in Evansville IN, she was a graduate of Bosse High School, a member of the rowdy class of 1959. In her high school years, Charlotte could be found singing with the choir, marching as a majorette or tearing up a dance floor, often winning dance contests with her brother.
She left for Kansas City after graduation to be trained and work for Braniff Airlines. Throughout her life she would live in various cities (Dallas TX, St. Louis MO and Chicago IL) often returning to her home town in between, before starting out on a new adventure. She wore many hats professionally throughout her lifetime in various industries, namely, Advertising, Air Travel, Coal, Diamonds, Family Office, Fitness Clubs, Market Research, Medical Research, Oil Trading, and multiple law offices. Baptized in the First Baptist Church in Evansville, her spiritual journey took her through many experiences, ultimately landing her as a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clark NJ. In every job, and every city she called home, she made life-long friends who feel her loss today.
In life, Charlotte was colorful, boisterous and loving – and a proud member of MENSA. She came to a new understanding about herself and a new freedom in her life through the fellowship of AlAnon. The people of that program taught her to see herself in a softer Light and forever changed her thinking about accountability, forgiveness, and most importantly the Love of God and her relationship with her Creator.
She is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Vivian Warren (Evansville IN), her sister Mary Alice Rapp (Evansville IN), her nephew, Jon Warren (Evansville IN), her step-son, Kevin Fraser (Morganfield KY), her beloved, Peter Hoffman (Cedar Lake IN) and too many dear friends to name. There is no doubt she was welcomed Home with a great celebration.
There are many remaining that mourn her passing. Her immediate family members include, her step-son, Kelly Fraser (Laura) of Elberfeld IN, her brother, John Warren (Vickie) of Evansville IN, her brother-in-law, Fred Rapp (Mary Alice) of Chico, CA, her beloved nieces and nephews, Warren Rapp of St. Louis MO, Lesli Montague (Val) of Chico CA, JaNae Hughes (Clayton) of Las Vegas NV, Norman Rapp of Sandy UT, Jason Warren of Evansville IN and her daughter-in-heart, Sherri “Hoda” Meine of St. Louis MO. Her daughter and son, Rhea Anne Cook (Philip Martir) of Roselle NJ and Patrick Charles Stroud Fraser of St. Louis MO shared her final waking hours in laughter and song, holding hands, anticipating the run for the roses and wishing her time was endless. They are happy to report that their mother’s Love is big enough to ultimately fill the void that her death leaves and to wipe away the mistakes that humans make in a lifetime. She, truly, remains with them in Spirit and will Light their way for all the days of their lives.
