Dennis A. Baker

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Church 971 Suburban Rd. Union, NJ, on Friday December 19, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park Union, NJ. A visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home 1100 Morris Avenue Union, NJ on Thursday December 18, 2025, from 3-8 PM.

Dennis was a product sales manager at LPS Industries in Moonachie NJ, for 46 years. Additionally, from 1989 until his passing he was employed by the Union Recreation Department as a well-respected softball umpire. Supervising open gym and doing the scoring for the basketball leagues. Dennis loved all sports but none more than baseball. His favorite team was the New York Yankees, and his boyhood idol was Mickey Mantle. He was an avid fan of Union High School Volleyball especially when his son Corey became a coach for both the boys’ and girls’ volleyball teams. Dennis loved family vacations and visited 21 national parks.

He is survived by his beloved wife Lynn Baker (nee Haliniewski). His devoted sons Brett and Corey Baker. Brother Carl Baker and his wife Theresa. Brother-in-law Lee Haliniewski and his wife Sharon. Nieces and nephews Brian and his wife Tami Haliniewski, Darren and his wife Holly Haliniewski, Patrick and his wife Annaleah Haliniewski, Rhianna Baker, Brian and his wife Danielle Baker, Jenny and her husband Alex Asnis. Great-nieces Courtney Haliniewski and Cora and Annie Asnis. Dennis is also survived by his faithful dogs Beau and Baylee.
