Dorothy Marie Hinte

Dorothy M. Hinte, 93, passed away at home on May 14, 2014. Friends and family may visit at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave, Union, N.J., today, Friday, May 16, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park Union. Dorothy, known as "Mamie" by many, has been a resident of Brick, N.J., for 46 years, previously residing in Union. Most recently, Dorothy worked at Townhouse Assisted Living and managed the Bay Head Manor in Point Pleasant, N.J. Dorothy was an autonomous woman who prided herself in being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her many pets, going on trips to Atlantic City, and being a part of family activities. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Edward Hinte, in 1979; her son, William Hinte; grandson, Michael Casale, and five brothers. She is survived by her sister, Charlotte Hoefling of Howell, N.J.; daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Richard Casale of Union; son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Deborah Hinte of Brick; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Hinte and Carol Samuels of Belfast, Maine; daughter-in-law, Anne Hinte of Manassas, Va.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
