

Born on April 16, 1959, in Union, N.J., Garry graduated from Kean University and became a successful real estate broker alongside his father at Tamburro Realty, the family’s industrial and commercial real estate business.
Beyond his professional life, Garry was deeply passionate about the N.J. theater community. He was a devoted annual member of the Paper Mill Playhouse for many seasons and frequently volunteered and performed in community theater productions throughout the state. He was beloved by fellow cast and crew members for his genuine character and enthusiasm for the arts.
Known affectionately as “Unc Gar” to his three beloved nieces and great-nephew, Garry was a constant presence at family holiday gatherings, offering unwavering kindness and love to those around him.
He was predeceased by his father, Anthony Tamburro. Garry is survived by his mother, Dorothy Tamburro, and his sister, Donna Strober. He is also survived by his nieces Dori Morgan (Sam), Dana Strober, and Tara Strober Rosenberg (Evan), as well as his cherished great-nephew, Thomas Morgan.
A committal service will be held at Hollywood Memorial Park, located at 1500 Stuyvesant Ave., Union, NJ, 07083, United States. The service is scheduled for December 23, 2025, at 10:00 am.
