John Bobrowicz

John Bobrowicz, 57, of Union, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Overlook Hospital, the place of his birth, on December 26, 2025. Born on April 18, 1968, to Leonard and Irene Bobrowicz, they took him home, loved and supported him. Although he was born with Down Syndrome, a wise doctor, ahead of the times, told them to expect John to do everything their other child had done. John started school at 5 years old at Grace Wilday School in Roselle. He then attended Battle Hill School and Burnet in Union until he graduated in 1989. Before he graduated, John was the first co-op student in his class to go to school part of the day and then to work at the Five Points A&P where he worked for many years in the cheese dept. John competed in the Special Olympics track and field events, cross country skiing and bowling where he earned many medals. He loved watching MTV and collected many albums and CDs. John also enjoyed watching soap operas including but not limited to All My Children and General Hospital. He was a member of many fan clubs and enjoyed going into NYC to luncheons where he got to meet many of his favorite soap opera stars.

John is survived by his mother, Irene, his sister, Diane Hickey, brother-in-law, Jason, and his nephew, Connor. John will be greatly missed and always remembered in our hearts.
