

John T. Tuohy, 76, formerly of Jersey City, passed away on February 20, 2015. He is the beloved father of Timothy J. Tuohy and his wife Michelle; dear grandfather of Ryleigh and Rowan, who always brought a smile to his face; and brother of William P. Tuohy and his wife Teresa, Judith Wolfe (nee Tuohy), Dennis J. Tuohy, Kathleen Consiglio (nee Tuohy) and her husband Frank, and the late MaryEllen Sartori (nee Tuohy). John is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. John was employed by Maher Terminals LLC in Port Elizabeth, NJ before retirement and served in the US Marines during Peacetime from 1956-1959. John was an avid fisherman who loved spending his days patiently waiting for “the big one”. The one thing that he may have loved doing more than fishing was tending his garden. The family always looked forward to tomato season and his delivery of the best tomatoes in New Jersey. He will be greatly missed every single day. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Holy Spirit Church 971 Suburban Road Corner of Morris Avenue Union, NJ at 10:30am. The family will receive their friends at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union, NJ, on Tuesday February 24, 2015 from 4-8 PM.
