Joseph J. Chekay, age 101, of Roselle Park, NJ, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday September 18, 2013. A prayer service will be held at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union, NJ, on Monday September 23, 2013 at 11:30 AM. The family will receive their friends on Sunday September 22, 2013 from 2-5 PM. Born in Poland, one of eleven children. Joseph served in the Polish Army during WWII. He was employed as an accountant with United Engineers of Philadelphia, PA, before his retirement in 1987. Joseph was the beloved husband of Stella Chekay and the late Antoinette (Toni) Chekay. Devoted father of George Chekay. Loving grandfather of Pamela Chekay and Amy Walt. Dear great-grandfather of Joey, Alex and Adam.
