Joseph W. Jaye, 80, of Union, N.J., passed away on Sept. 13, 2013, at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth, N.J. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, N.J. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Holy Spirit Church, Union, on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10:30 a.m., with interment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Joseph was born in Newark, N.J., and lived in Hillside, N.J., before settling in Union, N.J., in 1938. He was a draftsman for 40 years at A.G. McKee, Union, N.J., and for other contractors in the area. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and served honorably as a Seabee from 1951 to 1954. He was the loving brother of Dolores Corea and her husband, Joseph, of Union, Stephen Jaye and his wife, Marion, of Basking Ridge, N.J., and the late Eleanor Rotondo and her husband, Joseph. Joseph is also survived by six nieces and 10 nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kan. 66675.
