Rita G. Lopez

Born on May 22, 1929, in Cuba, she lived a life marked by kindness and thoughtfulness.

Rita was married to Faustino P. Lopez. They shared a fulfilling life, having one daughter together, Elisa, whom they cherished until his passing in 1990.

In 1966, the family left Cuba for the United States, a country that offered them hope and the possibility of a better life. They achieved many dreams in this land that provided dignity and liberty, and where Rita will find her final rest.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Elisa, sisters, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

Visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home, located at 1500 Morris Ave, Union, NJ, on January 2, 2026, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. The funeral service will follow at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church, 1096 North Ave, Elizabeth, NJ, starting at 12:00 pm. Committal services will take place at Evergreen Cemetery & Crematory, 1137 N Broad St, Hillside, NJ, on the same day.

Rita's life was a testament to the strength and resilience of the human spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
