Although I have not seen Steve in years, it is hard to believe he is gone.  I have fond memories of being a teanager and hanging out with Steve, he was always good for a witty comment and a laugh.  May he rest in peace.  My deepest condolences to the Chitkara family.  You are in my prayers.

I learnt of Steve's passing with great sorrow. The brief time I got to know Steve was very rewarding for I saw in him, the answer to the challenges faced by many African entreprenuers.

I wish to share my heartfelt condolences with Steven's family upon his tragic passing. 

I had the privilege of knowing Steven only for a short while. But even so, I felt the acquaintance would have grown into a friendship over time. We were the same age, in a similar professional space, both far away from home - expats in Africa with young families. Intolerable sadness turns me inside out when I look at my own two boys, and then think of Steven's. Meeting up with Steven was always a pleasure. It was exciting to listen to him share his plans. I wish the boys will always be reminded of the good work their father was starting in Zambia. 

Last but not least, we shared the same passion - marathon running. We were seriously getting into challenging each other for the 2013 NYC marathon. If I make it there, the race will be in honor of Steven's memory.
