Susan Kennedy Gaschler

Susan Kennedy Gaschler, age 66, was born June 11th, 1957 in Orange, New Jersey and entered into rest on March 26th, 2024 in Palm Coast, Florida after a brief illness. She graduated from West Orange Mountain High School and had a long career in the Insurance industry.

Susan found her happiest times while traveling, spending time at family gatherings and showering her grandchildren with love. Susan was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and was known to all as a shining light who would brighten any room. Family and friends describe her as someone who could make fast friends with anyone she met, and everyone remembers her signature laugh and smile. Her style and grace will be missed by all, but most by her husband Leslie and children, Andrew, and Brynne, with whom she was exceptionally close.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Alice Kennedy, her brother James Kennedy, and sister Alice Jo Anne Kennedy. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Leslie Gaschler, her daughter Brynne, her son-in-love Lenny, her grandsons Robbie, and Brady; her son Andrew, her daughter-in-love Elena and her granddaughters, Allison and Isabella, her sister, Sheila and brother-in-law Sarge, her nephews Conor and Colin; and her stepsons Leslie and Paul.

Her visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home at 1500 Morris Ave in Union on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 5 PM – 8 PM with her funeral mass being celebrated on Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church at 1212 Kelly Street in Union, NJ at 10:15am.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made in Susan’s name to JDRF Diabetes Foundation.
