Theresa Beronowski

Theresa Beronowski, 81, of Hillside, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026. She was born on July 1, 1944, and lived a life marked by quiet strength, devotion, and care for those around her.

Theresa was a longtime resident of Hillside, where she was known as a kind and steady presence in her community. She retired from the Hillside Fire Department after many years of devoted service, a role she took great pride in; she cared so deeply for her firehouse family. She also remained actively involved as a member of the Hillside Senior Citizens community.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Beronowski. Theresa is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Volturo (Glen) and Nancy Burgett (Frank), her grandchildren, Francesca, Georgiana, Miranda, Samantha, and William, and her seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.

Theresa enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially trips to the casino to play the slot machines and savoring a large Coca-Cola. She will be remembered for her warmth, her resilience, and her guiding words to those she loved: “Every day is a blessing.”

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, New Jersey, 07083. A prayer service will be held the same evening from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Visitation will be held at McCracken Funeral Home at 9am before the committal service on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. at Saint Gertrude Cemetery & Mausoleum, located at 53 Inman Avenue, Woodbridge Township, New Jersey, 07067.

Theresa’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
