Howard Edward Moran

On Tuesday, February 1, 2022, Howard Edward Moran, loving husband, father of six children, and 12 grandchildren passed away at home, while surrounded by his family to be with Our Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 80. Howard was born on July 16, 1941 to Joseph and Angela Moran. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University in Pennsylvania in 1963. He worked for Smith Corona for a few years until he purchased and owned Tiernan’s Office Products for 23 years in Pomona and Upland CA. On June 26, 1965, he married Patty. They met in 7th grade at Incarnation Elementary School in Glendale, Ca.. They raised four daughters: Cindy, Chrisie, Colleen and Carrie and two sons: Michael and Howard Jr.. Grampie was active in the early years of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. He taught 8th grade CCD and Confirmation classes. He also served as an Extraordinary Minister. He later continued his education and received a Teaching Credential and a Masters of Education at the University of LaVerne in 1998. A special trip in 2007 sent Grampie and Grammie to Ireland to visit the Moran homestead in Kiltimagh, Ireland. Grampie had a passion for football, (Damien High School, University of Notre Dame, L.A. Rams and Green Bay) golf, watching his grandchildren and going out with his children to wineries and restaurants. Grampie will be greatly missed, and remembered for his great love and devotion to God and family.
