Juanita (Jennie) Trujillo Gomez, born on June 1, 1938, and called home on December 28, 2024, was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and community leader. As one of nine siblings, she shared a life full of love and devotion with her family. Jennie was the proud mother of six children—three by birth and three through marriage—and leaves behind three surviving children Renee Gomez Avila, Ruby (Raul) Rodriguez, and Jennie Martinez, 84 grandchildren, and two siblings Frances Trujillo Lucero and Joe Trujillo (Mary Lou).
Jennie dedicated her life to serving her community. She began her remarkable journey of community service in 1968 at the Ontario-Montclair School District, where she worked in various roles, including as a noon-aide, community liaison, and health clerk. She touched the lives of countless students, staff, and families in her years at OMSD. She retired from the School District in 2008 but continued to serve her community through her work at the AG Income Tax Office from 1968 to 2024, and at the Inland Regional Center from 2000 to 2024.
Her passions included watching Hallmark movies, Dancing with the Stars, playing Bingo with her family and going to happy hour for a good margarita. Above all, Jennie cherished her family and was deeply involved in their lives, always helping them strive for their success and well-being.
Jennie will forever be remembered for her love, strength, and dedication. She leaves a legacy of service, kindness, and devotion that will not be forgotten.
