Margaret B. Halgren

Margaret (Margo ) Bercich Halgren was born in Fort Huachuca, Arizona May 24 1925 .She went home to heaven on January 8th 2021 in Upland, with family by her side. She lived in the Ontario, Rancho, Upland area for 70 years .She is survived by her daughters Karen Low of Ontario, Margo Karaban (Pete) of Upland and son Dave Halgren ( April) of Oceanside. She has seventeen Grandchildren Robin Baker--Kimberlee Bryant--Tionna Low--Stephanie Hinson--Kenny Short--Chaumbria Abbondanza--Wayne Walker--Naomi Reale--Nicole Padilla--Dale Low--Trevor Halgren--Bryson Lanterman--Shalea Karaban--Ashley Dutson--Alisha Jordan--Trent Halgren--Jared Halgren.. Plus 45 Great Grandchildren and 23 Great Great Grandchildren.

Margo and her husband David started Halgren's Candies in Ontario in 1956.They had a very successful candy and jam business and were famous for their chocolate covered strawberries. They sold the business in 1999.They also started a driving school ,American Driving Club, and taught many in the area to drive. They were true entrepreneurs in Ontario..

Margo was very active in her church. She was Relief Society President many times and Stake Relief Society President in the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Margo and her husband David went on a church mission to Croatia for 3 years during the time of Croatia's war. Younger missionaries were sent elsewhere due to the war but they decided to stay in the war zone and help the people. That is what she loved to do, help people wherever she was. Margo was a true blessing to so many friends and family. She was always the one to go visit the sick, take food to the needy, give rides to appointments or whatever anyone needed, she was there for them. She was a very positive person and only had good things to say. She was and is a perfect example of living a righteous and good life. Margo will be laid to rest at the Riverside National Cemetery with her husband David Halgren .
