Born July 24, 1919 in Plainville, MA; died July 1, 2015 in Upland, CA. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church (WELS) Pomona, CA.
She served for many years at Our Savior on the altar guild and as a Sunday School teacher, putting in hours of preparation that her students might know their Savior.
She worked tirelessly for causes she believed in. Norma was active in Chaffey Community Republican Women, Federated, since the early 1960's serving for many years in various positions but is remembered mainly for voter registration drives in Montclair, Upland, Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga. She alone was responsible for registering thousands of voters throughout the years, encouraging all to make their voice heard.
She also continued to work as a Shaklee Distributor until just recently.
Norma had great empathy and was constantly sought out by those needing a kind ear and sage advice. She considered this her God-given gift.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband Odin in 1997. She is survived by her daughter, Camilla Ann (Bob) Kaylor of Wilmer, AL; two grandsons, Matthew of Killeen, TX; Michael (Amy) of 29 Palms, CA; three great-granddaughters, Piper, Bridgette & Marlie; two sisters, Barbara Alcorn of Tampa, FL; Doris spencer of Chino, CA; her dedicated niece, Sandy Soto of Chino, whom she treasured; and numerous other nieces & nephews.
