June 13, 1941 – June 17, 2025
Norma was a loving, cheerful, dedicated, and compassionate person who shared her smile with everyone she met, offering peace and love in every relationship. Even as she developed dementia in her later years, she never lost that smile, peace, and love. Instead, she sought even more of it. In her last few years, she actively looked for opportunities to reconnect with long-lost friends and relatives, regardless of past disagreements, simply to hold and hug them. She also respected their spaces, until they are ready. She often said she didn’t want to carry heavy heart as she aged, and certainly didn’t want to bring it to her grave.
She started this journey of peace, with God. After her husband, Macario, suddenly passed away on February 13, 1991, at the age of 55, Norma carried a grudged against God. She stopped her daily rosary and seldom attended Mass, though she never stopped praying. However, in 2012, she made peace with God. She went to confession to reconcile and offered all her pain, sorrows, and memories to Him. From then on, she resumed attending Mass and receiving our Lord in the Eucharist.
Norma, we will deeply miss your touch, your smile, and your hugs.
Lord Jesus, we trust on your Mercy!!!
